ohmygosh!! i am painting a mural for my old elementary school and it came to me to look up some childrens books i used to read to paint on it, and when i came to this website i freaked and giggled so hard and remembered when i would sit on the rug and read along with my 1st grade teacher… good times my favorite was Curdoy, hehe…

I remember quite a few of these books from childhood also! Mom did a good job! I am also searching for a book that I loved as a kid, maybe Beth can help me too? Baby animals were eating their favorite snack, milk and cheese, while admiring the beautiful rug. I think they lived inside a tree. Any ideas?? Thanks for pondering.

Great list. I have been searching for a book and to be quite honest I cannot remember much about it except for there being a dog,possibly a cat as well.I believe the dog was a black scottish terrior and the colors on the cover were blue & yellow. Very similar to Blueberries for Sal. If you can help I would be very appreciative ,for this reminds me of time spent with my grandparents as a child & I would love to share it with my child.
