Everyone becomes bored and at times may think that others have it better. They may wish they looked like someone else, had the things someone else has, and be able to do what others do. The Mixed-Up Chameleon is no different. He is bored. He thinks that life would be more exciting if he was a different type of animal. But when he discovers that he can actually do something that others animals can’t do, he becomes excited.
The Mixed-Up Chameleon discovers that he can actually change colors, but even more interesting and fun, he could also change his size and shape. The only problem is, when he can’t decide which animal he wants to look like, he ends up looking like a mixture of all of them. With a twist that offers more fun than any one animal, The Mixed-Up Chameleon finds more adventure and has a time with his predicament. The results of looking like a mixture of all the animals, and the things the Chameleon learns along the way, will amuse you and your children as you enjoy this story together.
This is one of the best children’s books. With a story that will draw you in and lessons that can help with life, Eric Carle has done it again. This book is also available in the form of a board book, which would be an excellent first book for babies. Sharing time to read a high quality book, by an author who has won many awards for excellence in children’s literature will be something to cherish.
